Dorado es el corazón/Golden is the heart

Se apodan la Generación Dorada. Pero dorado tienen el corazón. ¿Qué  más se puede decir de este equipo?. Un ejemplo de solidaridad, humildad y sacrificio. Era un partido complicado. Por el rival y por el entrenador. El DT brasileño era Rubén Magnano, medalla de oro con Argentina en Atenas 2004. Magnano conocía a la mayoría de los integrantes del plantel y por eso planteó un juego inteligente en defensa, principalmente en la zona pintada. Pero Argentina con su corazón y con su entrega pudo sacar adelante un encuentro muy disputado. Fue 82 a 77 a Brasil, que hizo un buen torneo luego de su ausencia en los últimos tres Juegos Olímpicos.

Hernán Jasén fue el único jugador que no ingresó. Delfino y Ginóbili jugaron 28 minutos cada uno. Nocioni disputó 26 minutos y Scola 25. Para los próximos partidos tiene que tener en cuenta el horrible primer cuarto que jugó. En los momentos complicados se dependió muchísimo de las máximas figuras como Manu y Scola. Eso en un eventual cruce de cuartos de final lo van a sufrir muchísimo. No le debe pasar lo mismo que hoy si quiere aspirar a medallas porque contra equipo como Brasil o Rusia no hay mucho margen de error.
