Tienen sólo 23 años pero ya son parte del presente de la NBA. Entre Kevin Durant y Russell Westbrook promediaban, hasta el partido de esta noche, 48 puntos por partido combinados. Pero hoy deslumbraron con 68 puntos en el mísmisimo Staples Center de Los Angeles y dejaron la serie 3-1 a favor de los Thunder.

Un 3-0 de Oklahoma hubiese sido devastador para Los Angeles Lakers. Por momentos en el estadio se sintió olor a barrida. Pero los Lakers tienen a Kobe Bryant y con él no es fácil rendirse. Fue un partido con muchos vaivenes. Parecía que se lo llevaba los Thunder pero finalmente Los Angeles ganó un poco de respiración. Mañana se vuelven a ver las caras otra vez en el Staples Center. 

Oklahoma's 3-0 would have been devastating for Los Angeles Lakers. At times in the stadium felt swept smell. But the Lakers have Kobe Bryant and he is not easy to give. It was a game with many ups and downs. It seemed that the Thunder win the game but finally Los Angeles won a little breathing. Tomorrow they will again see the faces at the Staples Center.

In the last quarter there were 3 minutes without a team can make a field goal. The way points came from free throws. Durant ended the drought at the 8:58 to the end of the game. It felt a nervousness like never before at the Staples Center. Lakers fans feared being swept by Oklahoma. But Kobe's pride is stronger. Not so much for their field goals but for his effective free throws. 6/6 at the last minute and finished with 18 of 18 in the game. Kobe was the scorer leader of the night with 36 points. The two big-men of Lakers got a double-double. Gasol with 12 points and 11 rebounds and Bynum with 15 and 11. In Oklahoma City Durant finished with 31 points, seconded by Harden and Westbrook, both with 21.

Denver forzó el 7º partido/Denver forced to Game 7

Denver Nuggets es uno de los equipos más regulares que hay en la NBA. No tiene una estrella y todos contribuyen por igual. Esta noche derrotó con mucha autoridad a Los Angeles Lakers por 113-96 y forzó un séptimo partido, que se jugará el sábado en el Staples Center. Los Nuggets tuvieron una ofensiva muy buena y lo más destacado fue su defensa, algo que no está acostumbrado a tener.

Denver Nuggets is one of the most consistent teams in the NBA. They don't have a star and everyone contributes equally. Tonight they defeated Los Angeles Lakers with much authority 113-96 and forced 7th game to be played on Saturday at Staples Center.The Nuggets had a very good offensive highlight was his defense, something that is not used to having.

Denver empezó rápidamente despegándose en el marcador. Se ponía 13-0 a 8:51 para el término del primer cuarto. Esa diferencia la fue manteniendo durante todo el cuarto. Ty Lawson llevaba 14 de los 23 puntos de Denver. Los Lakers respondían con el aporte de Kobe Bryant, que estuvo en duda por problemas estomacales. El primer cuarto terminaba 30-20 para Denver. Denver quickly started peeling on the scoreboard. It became 13-0 with 8:51 to the end of the first quarter. This difference was maintained through out the quarter. Ty Lawson had 14 of the first 23 points in Denver. The Lakers responded with input Kobe Bryant, who was questioned by stomach problems. The first quarter ended 30-20 to Denver.

El segundo cuarto fue más parejo. Los Angeles ajustó su defensa pero en ofensiva el dúo Gasol-Bynum continuaba muy errático. En la primera mitad entre los dos terminaron con 3 puntos. Lawson y Bryant lideraban a sus equipos con 19 puntos cada uno. El cuarto lo ganaron los Lakers por 1 pero en el marcador seguía mandando Denver 54-45.

Kobe Bryant brilló una vez más en el Staples Center. Gracias a sus 38 puntos,  Los Angeles Lakers derrotaron a Denver Nuggets por 104-100 y pusieron la serie 2-0 a su favor.

Kobe Bryant shined once again at the Staples Center. Thanks to his 38 points, Los Angeles Lakers defeated the Denver Nuggets 104-100 and put the series 2-0 to their side.

Los Lakers comenzaron jugando ofensivamente en el poste bajo con Gasol y Bynum. Denver no podía defender esa dupla. Kobe Bryant se empezó a encender y romper aún más la defensa de los Nuggets. Los Angeles sacaban una diferencia de 5 (25-20). Denver se acercaba a 2 (25-27) con algunas canastas de Al Harrington. Pero Bryant con un triple a 5 segundos deja decretado el primer cuarto 32-25 arriba los Lakers. Los Angeles dominaron de principio a fin. Lo más cerca que se puso Denver fue a 1 (13-14) a 6:08 para el final del cuarto. Kobe terminó el parcial con 14 puntos. Bynum con 10 y 5 rebotes. En Denver el más destacado fue Al Harrington con 8 puntos.

Denver estaba errático y se mantenía 11 puntos abajo (92-81) a 6:54 del final del partido. Javale McGee y Kenneth Faried se empezaron a hacer dueños de la zona pintada. McGee puso 5 tapas y Faried bajó 4 rebotes. Pero Kobe mantenía su alto nivel y los Lakers seguían arriba. 1º Chicago Bulls (49-16) vs. 8º Philadelphia 76ers (35-31)

En la previa, Chicago no debería tener problemas para eliminar a Philadelphia, ya que los Sixers han bajado muchísimo el nivel. Hasta la interrupción por el Juego de las Estrellas, Philadelphia se mantenía en la 4º posición pero tuvo una segunda mitad de temporada muy irregular con récord de 15 victorias y 17 derrotas y cayó hasta el 8º lugar. También, Chicago pudo subsistir con la ausencia de Rose y adoptó otras vías de ataque, lo que el año pasado no pudo solucionar en la Final de Conferencia frente a Miami.

Serie personal: Chicago 2-1.

In the previous analysis, Chicago should not have problems to eliminate Philadelphia, because the level of the Sixers has dropped so much. Until the All-Star break, Philadelphia remained in the 4th position but they had an irregular second half of season with a 15-17 record and fell to the 8th position. Also, Chicago was able to survive in the absence of Rose and adopted other ways of attack, which last year failed to solve in the Conference Finals against Miami.

4º Boston Celtics (39-27) vs. 5º Atlanta Hawks (40-26)

Se vislumbra una serie pareja ya que Boston, líder de la división Atlántica, tuvo peor récord que Atlanta, que va a arrancar con  la localía. Los Celtics fueron de menor a mayor en la temporada. En un verdadero equipo cuando no juega uno de sus titulares no se siente mucho, y es el caso de Boston, que cuando estuvo su cuarteto completo (Rondo, Allen, Pierce y Garnett) tuvo un récord similar (20-14) a cuando no estuvo en cancha al menos uno de los cuatro (18-13). Los Hawks realizaron una muy buena temporada, teniendo en cuanta la baja de Al Horford durante gran parte de la fase regular. El futuro de Atlanta en la serie dependerá del rendimiento de sus dos goleadores, Josh Smith y Joe Johnson.
Serie personal: Boston 2-1.

Dallas debe mejorar la consistencia en sus tiros para poder llevarse la serie.
