Todos lo dan por muerto en la serie. Pero el Magic respondió ganando de visitante el primer partido de la serie. Orlando llevaba hasta hoy un récord de 4-8 sin Dwight Howard y respondió con lo que mejor sabe hacer el pivot estrella: defender. Indiana estuvo muy errático en ataque. Ésto se debió a la defensa asfixiante del conjunto de Stan Van Gundy. Hasta este partido el Magic sin Howard permitía 98,6 puntos por juego. Hoy dejó a Indiana en 77 puntos.

We all take Orlando for dead in the series. But the Magic answered winning on road the first game of the series. Orlando had to date a record of 4-8 without Dwight Howard and responded with what he does best: defend. Indiana was very erratic in attack. Los Pacers tuvieron una mejoría en el tercer cuarto. Hiil metió 7 de sus 11 puntos en ese parcial. Una carrera de 14-6 le devolvió la ventaja a Indiana (58-57) a 3:30 del término del tercer cuarto. Un par de tiros libres de Nelson aumentaron la diferencia a tres (80-77). Buena defensas de parte de Orlando le permitieron llevarse el partido por 81-77. 

Indiana continued its stability in the shots in much of the last quarter. Managed to get a difference of 5 at 6:50 to finish the game. Indiana maintained this difference until 2:56. Jason Richardson got a triple and Orlando got a 2. Another 3-point of J-Rich at 1:04 gave the advantage to the Magic. A pair of free throws by Nelson increased the difference to three (80-77). Good defense from Orlando allowed to take the match 81-77.

Ahora se vuelven a entrentar el lunes. Puede ser que Orlando pierda la serie como la mayoría de los expertos piensan. Pero el Magic dio un gran golpe hoy. Nada es imposible si hay actitud y predisposición por parte de un equipo. Así jugó Orlando. 

Now they meet again on Monday. Orlando may lose the series as most experts think, but the Magic gave a big hit today. Nothing is impossible if there attitude and willingness in a team. Orlando played very well.
